The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has officially welcomed its newly posted National Service Personnel with an orientation session designed to set clear expectations for professionalism, discipline and teamwork.
The session, held at the Ministry and attended by directors, senior staff and representatives from various departments, aimed to prepare the personnel for a year of impactful national service.
Speaking on behalf of the Chief Director, Mr. Otto Langmagne urged the new recruits to respect their posting arrangements and strictly adhere to civil service standards. He said professionalism and discipline remain essential to the Ministry’s work, which spans tourism development, cultural preservation and creative industry advancement.

Langmagne also underscored the importance of strong working relationships across directorates and agencies, noting that collaboration is key to delivering the Ministry’s mandate. “Your ability to work respectfully and effectively with colleagues will define your success here,” he said.
Mr. Andy William Amoo of the Research, Statistics and Information Management Directorate highlighted the critical role of credible data, ICT systems and quality research in shaping national policy. He encouraged the personnel to embrace modern tools and contribute meaningfully to the Ministry’s information-driven decision-making processes.

Both speakers urged the personnel to bring fresh perspectives, remain open to learning and approach their assignments with commitment and integrity. National Service, they emphasized, offers young professionals a unique opportunity to gain experience while contributing to national development.
The orientation forms part of the Ministry’s broader efforts to integrate new personnel into its operations as the tourism, culture and creative arts sectors continue to grow in importance to Ghana’s economy.
