The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts has held an orientation programme for heads of agencies and their deputies aimed at strengthening leadership alignment, governance standards and strategic collaboration across the sector.
Opening the programme, the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, underscored the importance of clearly defined roles, accountability and effective cooperation between governing boards and management. She said stronger coordination was essential to improving efficiency and delivering measurable results that support national development priorities.
The Chief Director of the Ministry, Mr. Joseph K. Amoah, emphasised the need for effective public sector leadership rooted in transparency and responsibility. He noted that sound governance practices remain critical to improving service delivery and public confidence within the tourism, culture and creative arts ecosystem.
Facilitators at the orientation included media practitioner Shamima Muslim, legal practitioner Michael Adu-Darku, Esq., and Surveyor Dr. Nana Agyemang Frimpong. They led sessions on corporate governance, public sector branding, leadership and institutional effectiveness.
The Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Hon. Yussif Issaka Jajah, was also present to support the Sector Minister.
The orientation forms part of the Ministry’s broader commitment to capacity building and strengthening public sector management to enhance performance across agencies under its supervision.
