The Abusuapanyin of the Konadu Agyeman family has revealed that frantic efforts were taken by the medical staff at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, popularly known as Ridge Hospital, to save former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
Oheneba Akwasi Abayie said all the best medical staff at the hospital were assembled for her survival.
“It was a difficult situation,” he noted.
However, the former First Lady gave up the ghost a few moments she was sent to the hospital on Thursday, October 23.
The Abusuapanyin was speaking on Friday, when leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) visited the family to commiserate with them.
Led by National Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, the NDC said Nana Konadu remained a founding member of the party even though she broke away to found the National Democratic Party (NDP).
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced.
