Former President Jerry John Rawlings has hinted at releasing a book titled ‘The Triumph of Evil’ to expose the likes of Professor Kwamena Ahwoi. He believes Prof Ahwoi, who served in his government as the Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, released his book ‘Working With Rawlings’ “to preempt the exposure that Rawlings’s book ‘The Triumph of Evil’ promises to reveal about some of them”. Prof Ahwoi’s book has stirred controversy as its content has been widely contested by some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). To the first president of the Fourth Republic, the book by Prof…
Manchester City have announced plans for a statue of Spanish playmaker David Silva at Etihad Stadium. Signed from Valencia in 2010, the midfielder, 34, made 436 appearances and helped City win 14 trophies. “David is a transformational player, a quiet leader who has inspired everyone around him,” said City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak. “David’s statue will act as a lasting reminder of the wonderful moments that he gave us, not only as an incredible footballer, but as an inspiring ambassador who represented this…

Legend Derrick Obeng Mensah said such is the situation in Berekum West Constituency and it will spell doom for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 elections. “Some of his ministers and appointees are not giving him the real situation on the ground. I know Nana Addo [Dankwa Akufo-Addo] is…

Sevilla wrecked Manchester United’s hopes of ending the season with silverware as they edged a hard-fought Europa League semi-final in Cologne. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side lost their third semi-final this season despite taking the lead when Bruno Fernandes scored their 22nd penalty of the season after Marcus Rashford was fouled by Diego Carlos. Sevilla, Europa League specialists, equalised before the interval when former Liverpool forward Suso swept a finish past David de Gea at the far post. United’s fate was sealed when they missed a succession of chances early in the second half as Sevilla keeper Yassine Bounou emerged as…

This is expected to immediately follow the reopening of Ghana’s airport. This is scheduled to be possible by Tuesday, September 1, 2020. “The outcome of that exercise will show us the way and determine when we can reopen our border by air.” Until a report is received on that, President…
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has congratulated the Chair of the Electoral Commission, Ghana (EC), Jean Mensa, and the other commissioners over the recently ended compilation of the new voter register.
