The Senate’s top Republican, Mitch McConnell, says President Donald Trump is “100% within his rights to look into election irregularities”. “Lockdown” has been declared the word of the year for 2020 by Collins Dictionary, after a sharp rise in its usage during the pandemic. It “encapsulates the shared experience of billions of people”, Collins said. Lexicographers registered more than 250,000 usages of “lockdown” during 2020, up from just 4,000 last year. Multiple award-winning dancehall artiste Stonebwoy Burniton has appealed to government to consider reducing the $150 Covid-19 test fees for all arriving passengers at the Kotoka International Airport. The mandatory tests for passengers came into force on Tuesday, September 1 following the reopening of the airport after almost six months of closure.
