Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has emerged as a clear favourite to be elected NPP Flagbearer by the party’s delegates in January, a poll conducted by respected research group, the Africa Policy Lens (APL) has revealed. President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Minister of Finance through the Executive Secretary at the Presidency to terminate all contracts related to Strategic Mobilization Limited (SML) Ghana. This follows the conclusion of investigations by the Office of Special Prosecutor (OSP). On Thursday, October 30, Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng found six persons including former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta liable in several infractions related to SML.
