The death has been reported of former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings. Mrs Rawlings is said to have passed on shortly after admission at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital, Ridge, Accra. She was 76. Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings will be remembered for her role in the advent of the Fourth Republic. As the wife of the longest-serving head of state of Ghana, she initiated several causes in the advancement of women’s and children’s rights. One person has been killed while two persons are said to be in critical condition after a truck carrying supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) got involved in an accident at Brohane Junction in the Tain District of the Bono Region.
