The Inspector General of Police, David Asante-Apeatu, has elevated the Deputy Director General of the Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, ACP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah, to the Director-General position. A tigress that killed four people in the west Indian state of Maharashtra died on Saturday, days after a court upheld an order to kill it. The animal was electrocuted by a fence erected by a farmer to keep out wild boar, wildlife officials said.
