Minority Leader Haruna Iddrisu has backed a full scale investigation into a bribery allegation, which has become an albatross on the neck of Parliament’s Appointment Committee over the weekend. Some members of the committee had claimed that a presidential nominee for the Energy Ministry attempted bribing some members with 3,000 cedis each. A former Muslim preacher in Nigeria who had at least 86 wives has died aged 93. Mohammed Bello Abubakar, known as Baba Masaba, died at his home in central Niger state on Saturday after an undisclosed illness. A large crowd attended his funeral on Sunday. Prof. Kenneth Agyemang Attafua has been appointed the Executive Secretary for the National Identification Authority. His appointment comes on the back of recent reshuffling in major positions at the public sector by President Nana Akufo-Addo. The appointment is contained in a letter dated January 27, 2017 and signed by President Akufo-Addo.
