The 3-day conference is aimed at formulating marketing strategies to achieve GOIL’s 2017 corporate goals through the use of marketing.The sales conference will also afford GOIL the opportunity to review its performance for the year 2016 and chart a course for the year 2017. Government is to review the curricula for the country’s trainee teachers to include technical and vocational subjects at the various Colleges of Education, minister -designate for Education, Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh has said. Though trainee teachers are not taught technical and vocational skills as part of their training, they are made to handle the two subjects at their various basic schools upon graduation. Education Minister-designate, Matthew Opoku Prempeh has disclosed that the New Patriotic Party government has no immediate intention to revert second cycle education to four years. The number of years spent in the Senior High School has been changed, at least twice, in two decades when the Sixth Form system was phased out. An urban development planner, Bernard Abeiku Arthur, is backing moves by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to relocate the headquarters of the Ghana National Petroleum Company (GNPC) to the Western region.
