It has emerged that for four solid years, a total of 19 Members of Parliament who were part of the Sixth Parliament under the Fourth Republic did not make a single statement on the floor of Parliament. A STAR-Ghana funded project also revealed some MPs including NPP firebrand Ken Ohene Agyapong and former Deputy Central Regional Minister Queenstar Pokua Sawyerr were among the worst performing MPs, who also never contributed to deliberations in Parliament. The third week trading on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) continued upward trajectory as the bullish sentiments which characterized trading persisted on the Accra Bourse as investors’ appetite for Ghanaian equities ascended. President Akufo Addo is expected to name his 10 regional ministers later today Tuesday Jan. 24, 2017 as part of the process to filling all relevant positions as his government takes shape nationally.
