Seven Twitter users are suing the US president, Donald Trump, saying their right to free speech has been violated. Mr Trump has been party to an eye-watering 4,000 lawsuits over the last 30 years, US media say. And now the mogul turned commander-in-chief has attracted one more, after seven people sued him for blocking them on Twitter. Mr Trump is an avid user of the social media forum, which he deploys to praise allies and lambast critics. The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service has announced a new method being adopted by criminals to rob people of their cars and other valuables. A ‘crime trend analysis’ statement issued by the CID on Tuesday noted that criminals now lay ambush around people’s homes and attack them at the entrance. Majority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu has condemned the former Lands and Natural Resources Minister, Inusah Fuseini for failing to inform his successors about an audiovisual recording device in his office. The national tripartite committee has increased the  daily minimum wage from GHc8.80 to GHc9.68 representing a 10 percent increment. The decision was announced by the committee following a two-hour closed door discussions on Tuesday. It has therefore asked institutions to adjust to the new wage or risk legal sanctions from government. The tripartite committee consists of members from government, the  employers association and organised labour. In spite of the falling cocoa prices on the international market, government has assured farmers that it has no intention to reduce the producer price. In October last year, the Ghana Cocoa Board reviewed the producer price of cocoa upwards from GH₵6,720.00 per tonne to GH₵7,520 per tonne for the 2016/2017 season. The Ministry of Trades and Industry has begun steps to re-constitute the task force on the importation of pirated Ghanaian textiles. The new task force will ensure that importers of the fake textiles are arrested and prosecuted.
