Somali militants have stoned a man to death after an Islamic court convicted him of adultery. Dayow Mohamed Hassan, 44, was buried neck-deep and pelted to death with stones by al-Shabab fighters. He was convicted of being in an adulterous relationship with a woman and impregnating her, despite having two wives, an official said. The vice president of the Ghana football Association, Mr George Afriyie has attributed the failure of the Black Starlets to clinch gold in the just ended African U-17 nations tournament to lack of funds. Ghana’s army has deployed a high-powered delegation to a small town in the Central Region of the country where one of its officers was brutalised and burnt to death by some locals who reportedly mistook him for an armed robber. A Ghana Armed Forces Captain on detachment duties at Diaso in the Central Region has been lynched by the youth of the town. Sources say he was lynched because he had a gun on him while jogging along the main road where he stopped to ask for further directions from some women. Tema-based Delhi Public School (DPS) International Ghana has held a colourful ceremony as part of its activities to mark Africa Union Day celebrations. Barcelona Monday evening confirmed Ernesto Valverde as their new manager. Barca president Josep Maria Bartomeu had promised last week that the club would announce Luis Enrique’s successor on May 29. Media personality Kwesi Kyei Darkwa (KKD) says he has moved on from his past and he is living his life in beauty and dignity. The ace broadcaster was hit with a rape allegation in December 2014 following a complaint by a 19 year old Miss Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson. Ghana international Sulley has lost his father Alhaji Sulley Muniru. Alhaji Muniru Muntari is reported to have passed on at the 37 Military Hospital on Monday after he was rushed there following excessive pain. Alhaji Muniru previously coached Nigerian side Kano Pillars in northern Nigerian where Muntari was born. He is also the former El-Kanemi Warriors coach.
