Former President John Dramani Mahama has together with the National Democratic Congress donated GHC 50,000 and 150 bags of cement to the Overlord of Mamprugu Traditional Area, Nayiri Naa Bohagu Mahami Sheriga. Civil society group, CitizenGhana Movement, has served notice it would not hesitate to take legal action against the Electoral Commission should it fail to furnish it with copies of the annual audited accounts, assets and revenues of all 24 registered political parties. Tension is brewing between the Tijaniyya and Ahlul-Sunna sects at Aboabo in the Ashanti Region as preachers from both factions are using abusive languages against each other anytime they mount the podium.
