The National Anti-Illegal Mining Operational Support (NAIMOS) Taskforce on Thursday disrupted a large-scale illegal mining operation at the Cocoa Research Centre in Bunsu, Eastern Region. Authorities say the team moved in around 7:20 a.m. and found extensive destruction of land within cocoa farms at Section E Site 3 in the Fanteakwa South District. The Mortuary and Funeral Facilities Agency (MoFFA) has begun a sweeping two-day enforcement exercise in the Eastern Region, targeting unlicensed mortuaries and facilities operating below minimum environmental, safety, and public health standards. Police in the Ashanti Region have arrested a man identified as Prince Agyapong for his alleged role in a violent robbery at the Juaso District Forestry Services Division on Monday, December 1, 2025. The Ahafo Regional Police Command has arrested two men believed to be part of a robbery syndicate that launched coordinated attacks on multiple businesses in Nkasiem on December 2, 2025.
