Ghana’s seventh Eurobond sale ended yesterday, after attracting bids from international investors that were five times more than the amount the country asked for, two sources among the government’s 2020 Eurobond Issuance Team have told the Daily Graphic. At least 10 people on board a cruise ship docked in the Japanese port of Yokohama have tested positive for coronavirus, health authorities said. The First Lady of Lesotho has been charged with murdering the prime minister’s previous wife. Maesaiah Thabane turned herself into police on Tuesday and is expected to appear in court on Wednesday. Her husband, Prime Minister Thomas Thabane, has also been questioned. His estranged wife, Lipolelo Thabane, was shot dead outside her home in the capital Maseru two days before his inauguration in 2017. One person has been confirmed dead with 17 others sustaining various degrees of injuries after a Damongo-bound Sanyo bus was involved in an accident at Bunyanto. The bus with registration number NR 514-19 was heading to Damongo from Tamale. The injured passengers on board the bus have since been transported to the Catholic hospital in Damongo. Six persons have been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in connection with the missing excavators and other equipment seized by operatives or Operation Vanguard. Among the six is the Central Regional Vice Chairman of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP), Horace Ekow Ewusi who was arrested on Monday, February 2, 2020.
