The Ghana Football Association has appointed Madam Mercy Efua Tagoe-Quarcoo as head coach of the senior national female team, the Black Queens. An Accra Circuit Court has detained the Chief Executive Officer of defunct Beige Bank, Mike Nyinaku, for misappropriating  some GH¢340.94 million belonging to customers. Mr. Nyinaku was arraigned before court for his involvement in the collapse of the bank and was denied bail despite pleas from his counsel. He has, therefore, been remanded in police custody and is to be there for a week. The Beige Bank CEO is said to have been responsible for opening an account at the Beige Bank in the name of First African Savings and Loans (FASL) Company without the knowledge of management of FASL.…

Veteran musician Rex Omar has urged the board and organisers of the Ghana Music Awards not to lift the ban placed on dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy. The two artistes were banned from the awards after Stonebwoy pulled a gun on stage while receiving an award last year. Founder Chief Executive Officer of defunct UT Bank Prince Kofi Amoabeng has been charged with stealing and money laundering by an Accra Circuit Court for his role in the collapse of his bank in 2017. Mr. Amoabeng appeared before the court with the Chief Executive Officer of defunct Beige Bank, Mike Nyinaku. In the submission of prosecution, Prince Kofi Amoabeng misappropriated GH¢51 million and laundered $8, 612,839.33 while Mike Nyinaku misappropriated GH¢340.94 million belonging to their respective customers. The latest music sensation in Ghana, Bosom P-Yung, has said his hit song ‘Attaa Adwoa’ was created from his heartbreak story with an ex called Attaa Adwoa. Speaking in an interview on the 3FM Drive show with Giovani, Bosom P-Yung said he decided to make light of a serious situation which caused him pain. “Attaa Adwoa broke my heart just at a tender age. The Ghana Rugby Football Union has announced that nominations for Board positions have been extended to 15 January 2020 ahead of a critical Special Elective General Meeting (SGM) of the Union that was forced by the announcement of the incumbent President and Board Chairman, Mr Herbert Mensah, that he may step down. Barcelona have sacked coach Ernesto Valverde and replaced him with former Real Betis coach Quique Setien.
