The late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East Constituency, Naser Toure Mahama, has been laid to rest.
This followed a funeral service held in his honour at the National Mosque at Kanda on Monday morning.
Naser Toure Mahama died on Sunday, January 4 after a short illness.
In accordance to Islamic customs, a prayer service, Janazah, led by National Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu was held for him.
The service attracted family and friends of the late lawmaker.
Notable among these were ministers of state, colleague MPs, National Democratic Congress (NDC) party faithful and security officials.
His mortal remains were then transported to Madina for the final interment at the Madina Cemetery.
Naser Toure Mahama was MP for Ayawaso East for 12 years, serving in his fourth term before his untimely demise.
