The Black Stars have lost their second game in Asia as they fell to South Korea by a lone goal in the Kirin Challenge Cup 2025.
A second-half header by Tae-seok Lee was the only goal in the game.
Ghana scored twice in the game but both goals were ruled out as offside by the center referee.
First was Prince Adu Kwabena’s superb finish, which was flagged offside, and the second was one by defender Jonas Adjei Adjetey, which would have been his debut goal for the senior national soccer team.
The make-shift side assembled by Otto Addo gave a good account of themselves, stopping the Taegeuk Warriors from any dangerous attacks.
A penalty awarded the hosts was saved by Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare.
The loss is the second in a row to Ghana, having lost 2-0 to Japan in the first game of the Cup on Friday.
The game will be the last for the Black Stars this year as they now await their 2026 FIFA World Cup opponents with the draw slated for Friday, December 5.
