Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Johnson P. Asiama on Wednesday led a delegation to pay a courtesy call on the Council of State, engaging the advisory body on key monetary and economic issues. The team was received by Council Chairman Edward Doe Adjaho.
Dr. Asiama described the visit as part of a renewed effort to deepen consultation and transparency, stressing the Bank’s commitment to maintaining Cedi stability and safeguarding Ghana’s reserve buffers.
He thanked the Council for its continued support and announced that the central bank plans to hold bi-annual engagements to exchange feedback and strengthen collaboration.

Chairman Adjaho welcomed the move, noting the importance of sustained cooperation between state institutions. “Our economy is fragile and requires sacrifices, but I’m happy to see our efforts yielding results,” he said.

The meeting forms part of broader stakeholder engagements as the central bank works to reinforce confidence in Ghana’s economic recovery.
