H.E. Sabah Zita Benson has welcomed British-Ghanaian engineer Danny Manu, founder and chief executive of Manchester-based technology firm Mymanu, as part of efforts to strengthen ties with diaspora innovators.
Manu is the inventor of what is described as the world’s first true wireless earbuds capable of real-time translation in more than 40 languages, positioning his company at the forefront of communication technology. An award-winning innovator, he has been recognised by Google as one of the world’s inspirational business leaders.
At the Diaspora Summit 2025, Manu was honoured in the Young Excellence category, highlighting the growing influence of diaspora entrepreneurs in shaping global innovation and business leadership.
Discussions during the engagement explored opportunities for future projects in Ghana, including potential collaborations in technology, education and youth empowerment. The focus was on job creation, skills development and deploying innovation to address real-world challenges, while strengthening Ghana’s technology ecosystem and human capital base.
