Ghana’s coronavirus case count has reached 43,505 after 180 new cases were confirmed as at Thursday, August 20.
According to the update given by the Ghana Health Servce (GHS) on Sunday, the recoveries-cum-discharges are at 41,532.
The deaths remained 261.
As a result, the active cases have reduced to 1,712.
Among these patients, 16 are in severe conditions while four are in critical conditions with two on ventilators.
Regional breakdown
The Greater Accra Region continues to lead with as many as 21,624 cases, out of which 20,986 have either recovered or been discharged.
The Ashanti Region follows next with 10,731 cases.
