Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Deputy Minister for Transport and Member of Parliament for Jomoro, has conducted a working visit to Ghana Airports Company Limited as part of efforts to familiarise herself with its operations and ongoing infrastructure projects.
During the February 12 visit, she was received by the company’s management team led by Managing Director Yvonne Nana Afriyie Opare, who guided her through key facilities and provided briefings on current developments.

The tour included inspections at Kotoka International Airport, where major works are underway. Among the projects reviewed were the runway overlay, renovations to Terminal 2 to support international flight operations, the planned connecting concourse linking Terminals 2 and 3, and construction of a new head office complex.

Speaking to journalists after the inspection, Affo-Toffey expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, saying she was confident the projects would be completed within scheduled timelines. She commended management and contractors for what she described as their dedication and professionalism in delivering critical aviation infrastructure.
Officials said the visit forms part of the ministry’s broader oversight of transport sector agencies, aimed at ensuring projects remain on track and align with national development priorities.
