The Eastern North Regional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service has arrested two suspects for possessing narcotic drugs at Amankwakrom on the main Agordeke-Donkorkrom motor road.
Yaw Ntoso and Perpetual Ayitey were arrested on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
A snap check team intercepted the Kia Bongo Truck driven by Yaw Ntoso.
Later, a thorough search was conducted by the officers, leading to the discovery of three white sacks containing 135 compressed slabs of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis sativa, a narcotic drug, wrapped in yellowish cellotapes and 21 oval-shaped parcels of similar substances.
The two are currently in police custody assisting investigations.
They will be put before the court, the police have said.
