Egypt and Saudi Arabia joined Morocco on Wednesday as the nations eliminated from the ongoing FIFA World Cup in Russia. Uruguay’s lone goal victory over the Falcons confirmed the South Americans and hosts Russia as the qualifiers to the Round of 16 from Group A. Though Egypt had been defeated 1-3 by Russia on Tuesday, a win for Saudi Arabia would have given them a glimmer of hope of qualifying. But Luiz Suarez’s first half strike was enough to nail the coffin not only for their opponents but also Egypt, whom they beat by same scoreline in the their opening game. The final Group A games will be played on Monday with Russia facing Uruguay in a battle for the table toppers and Egypt facing Saudi Arabia in a match of pride. Source: 3news.com | Ghana]]>
