Former Asante Kotoko coach Abdul-Karim Zito has been named as part of the technical team of Division One side FC AshantiGold 04.
The club announced this appointment on Tuesday, February 24 on its official Facebook page.
“He has joined the technical team,” they stated.
They highlighted Zito’s “experience”, “discipline” and “winning mindset”.
“This adds strength to our bench and belief to our squad.”
The appointment comes barely a fortnight after Zito resigned as Head Coach of Ghana Premier League side Asante Kotoko.
He resigned just days to the Super Clash, which ended 1-0 against the Porcupine Warriors.
Zito’s move to a club in the same region as Kotoko is said to be his love for his previous club.
He is expected to assist FC AshantiGold 04 qualify to the top-flight league from Zone 2.
They are currently three points clear at the top with Ebusua Dwarfs on their heels.
