Razak Brimah’s mother has rendered an apology to Ghanaians, after he insulted his critics for tagging him a bad goalkeeper. The shot stopper has been in the news since Monday for all the wrong reasons after he posted an audio on Facebook insulting his critics. Brimah has since issued a statement of apology and has also been fined $2,500 by the Ghana Football Association, but his mother has followed up by issuing an apology to Ghanaians to forgive his son. “I am Razak’s mother and I am pleading with all of you Ghanaians to forgive my son,” she said in an audio clip making rounds on social media. “Razak is not the kind of person who will hurl insults at anyone but when tensions rise the heart may react differently. “I am his mother and all I can ask is forgiveness from all of you and I’m pleading on his behalf”. Brimah has been Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper in all the four games played by the Black Stars in the 2017 AFCON with the coach likely to stick to him in Thursday’s semi final clash against Cameroon.
