The Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has received a delegation from the Ministers’ Wives Association of the Assemblies of God Church, Ghana, during a courtesy call at the ministry.
The delegation, led by its National President, Lady Rev. Mrs. Monica Wengam, congratulated the minister on her appointment and pledged the association’s support for her work in advancing gender equality, social welfare and the protection of vulnerable groups.
Lady Rev. Wengam praised Dr. Lartey’s leadership, describing it as visionary and impactful. She also expressed appreciation for the minister’s participation in the First Africa Assemblies of God Women in Leadership Conference, noting that her presence inspired women leaders across the continent and reinforced the importance of female representation in leadership.



In her response, Dr. Lartey thanked the delegation for the visit and underscored the ministry’s commitment to collaboration with faith-based organizations and other stakeholders. She emphasized that strengthening families, empowering women and promoting positive community values require collective effort.
As part of the engagement, the minister presented the delegation with a copy of the Affirmative Action Act, encouraging them to support advocacy and public education aimed at increasing women’s participation in national development.
The delegation later presented a symbolic gift to the minister in appreciation of her leadership and continued support for women-focused initiatives.
