The Ghana Education Service (GES) has disbursed the outstanding feeding grants for all Special Schools, covering the third term of the 2024/2025 academic year and the first term of 2025/2026.
In addition, GES has released all pending perishables owed to Senior High Schools (SHS) and Senior High Technical Schools (SHTS) for the period between July 29 and October 17, 2025. The funds and supplies have been successfully transferred to the accounts of the respective schools nationwide.
The GES Management has reminded heads of Special Schools, SHS, and SHTS to submit official receipts acknowledging receipt of the grants and perishables to the Director-General through their Regional Accountants.
Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at GES, emphasized the importance of accountability and timely reporting. “Management counts on the cooperation of all school heads and reiterates its commitment to supporting effective teaching, learning, and inclusive education across the country,” he stated.
This release marks a significant step in ensuring that students in Special Schools and secondary institutions have access to necessary nutrition and educational resources, supporting the broader goals of inclusive and quality education. GES continues to monitor disbursements to ensure transparency and proper utilization of funds.
The initiative underscores the government’s focus on sustaining the welfare of learners and providing the essential resources needed for their academic success.
