The Ghana Education Service (GES) has confirmed the promotion of staff teachers serving at the Deputy Director ranks, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing professional advancement within the sector.
According to a statement released by GES Management, the final report from the Promotion Committee which included representatives from the Service, the three Teacher Unions, and Workplace Cooperatives, has been submitted. The committee conducted extensive consultations with all relevant stakeholders, with significant contributions from the Teacher Unions, to ensure a transparent and inclusive promotion process.
The statement noted that announcements for promotions to Director II and Director I will be made at the conclusion of the current exercise. GES Management acknowledged that previous delays were caused by limited office vacancies, which is no longer a hindrance.
Staff and the public have been advised to follow official GES channels for further details and guidelines, as communicated by His Excellency, President Dr. John Mahama.
GES Management reiterated its commitment to fostering professional growth, recognising the contributions of educators, and ensuring fair and merit-based advancement opportunities across the service.
The Service encouraged eligible staff to stay engaged with the process and adhere to updated official guidance.
