Management of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has officially bid farewell to Mrs. Denise Bado Dauda, the outgoing Ghana Representative of the Burkina Faso Shippers Council, following her promotion to Director-General of the Council.
During a brief ceremony, GPHA officials commended Mrs. Dauda for her dedication, professionalism, and collaborative spirit, which they said had significantly strengthened business relations between Ghanaian ports and shippers from Burkina Faso, as well as other stakeholders in the port logistics chain.
Mrs. Dauda, who will now serve from Ouagadougou, expressed her gratitude to GPHA and the people of Ghana for their support during her tenure. She also encouraged continued and enhanced cooperation between the two institutions.
The event underscored the longstanding trade and transit partnership between Ghana and Burkina Faso, with the ports of Tema and Takoradi highlighted as key gateways for Burkina Faso’s international cargo.

Mrs. Dauda’s leadership and contributions were celebrated as a model for regional collaboration in West Africa’s maritime and logistics sector, reinforcing the importance of strategic partnerships in promoting efficient trade flows across borders.
