In the latest ranking released on Monday, January 19, five months to the World Cup, the Black Stars are least ranked in Group L.
From the rankings, England also maintain their position at fourth.
Croatia and Panama, however, drop from 10th and 30th to 11th and 33rd respectively.
There was no addition to the Black Stars point tally as a result of non-participation in the just-ended 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
They remain 14th on the African continent.
Spain continue their dominance as they maintain the top position in the global rankings with world champions Argentina, France, England and Brazil following in that particular order to complete the Top 5.
