GMB 2020: This is what each of the six queens said ahead of finale

Ghana’s Most Beautiful crowns its 2020 queen on today, Sunday, September 20, inside TV3’s Studio B.

The reality show began in June when 16 ladies from the 16 regions were introduced as participants in this year’s competition.

Since then the ladies have gone through a comprehensive journey of rediscovery and grooming in preparation for the finals, at which one will be selected to succeed reigning queen Ekua Mends Bannerman.

In an interaction with 3news.com, the ladies shared their experiences and what it will mean to them if they get to be crowned winner of the car, cash and crown.

Ahafo region representative Abena, with a tiny voice, said each and every week, she sees the events on stage as finals.

So she is not too stressed nor scared.

“I have actually psyched my mind since the start of the programme,” she noted.

“You can win or lose but the most important thing is I am always a queen so I’m not going to sly, I am just going to do my best. The thing is like a lotto.”

She promised to do her best on stage.

She added that she wants to win the crown but not just the crown; she wants to use the platform to initiate her project: ‘Child abuse’.

The lively Zuzu from the Northern Region said she will feel good if she wins the crown but she opined that the competition alone is enough for her.

The crown, the car and the bragging right is secondary reason to her. She stated that she is ready and prepared for the grand finale.

“I will feel good if I win the crown but my main reason has always been for me to get the platform to be noticed so that opportunities and doors will be opened because I have been part of Ghana’s Most Beautiful.”

The cool and calm Talata from the Upper East Region says the journey has not been entirely smooth but she kept pushing through. She expressed joy about the prospect of being crowned queen.

“I will feel good if I win, but if I don’t win the crown, it doesn’t stop me from pushing myself to where I want to reach in life. Even the platform alone has enabled me reach out to thousands of people watching me.”

The lively Afriyie, the Central Region’s representative, says she believes she can win the crown.

She described her journey as a tough one. She continued by expressing profound appreciation to her fans and family for the love and support that has been shown to her.

“I believe I can win this competition if I do the right thing. My journey has been ups and downs but I know the love and support from the outside alone has been great.”

The ever smiling and friendly Kafui from the Volta Region says fans should expect the best from her in the finals.

She noted that GMB has been a great platform and awesome right from the auditions.

“Personally, GMB has been a great platform for me. I have become my greatest motivator and critique throughout the competition.”

The charming Naa from the Greater Accra Region says if someone should win the crown and sell the TV3 brand, it certainly has to be her.

She noted that getting herself prepared for her act was always a challenge and very exciting but at the same time she had to give out her very best.

“Having been in the contest for thirteen weeks, I think the crown needs someone who can market it and TV3 wants a good representative and I have been trained to that.”
