The Governing Board of the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA), led by Chairman Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, conducted a familiarisation tour of key Authority facilities on Wednesday, January 21, 2026.
The tour included visits to the Jamestown and Tema Fishing Harbours, the GPHA Health Post at the Tema Fishing Harbour, the GPHA Main Clinic, and the International Maritime Hospital (IMaH).
Managers at each facility provided detailed presentations to the Board, outlining their core mandates, operational activities, achievements, and strategic plans for the future.

Hon. Asiedu Nketiah commended the management teams for their effective stewardship and operational excellence. He emphasised the Board’s commitment to providing strategic direction to enhance performance, strengthen service delivery, and unlock the full potential of all GPHA facilities.
The visit forms part of the Board’s ongoing efforts to engage directly with operational units, gain first-hand insights into facility management, and ensure that the Authority’s facilities continue to meet national and international standards in maritime services and healthcare provision for stakeholders.
