A late penalty by skipper Samba O’Neil gave Asante Kotoko a 2-1 win over Young Apostles in their second outstanding match in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
They drew goalless against Vision FC in the first of three outstanding games scheduled for this month.

A couple of minutes after Kotoko’s opener, Richmond Opoku headed in the equaliser for fans to have a game on their hands to look forward to.
After the tie looked like heading to par, Joseph Ablorh was brought down in the penalty area to hand Kotoko an opportunity to restore the lead.
Congolese defender made no mistake as he slotted in the ball in injury time for the much-needed winner.
The three points take the Porcupine Warriors to 5th on the log on 19 points.
Young Apostles are 8th with 14 points after 10 games.
Asante Kotoko have one more outstanding game to play, against Basake Holy Stars on Wednesday, November 26.
Before then, they will travel to face former champions FC Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi on Matchday 11 on Sunday, November 23.
