A 27-year-old lady, Selina Antwiwaa from Kwahu Obo in the Eastern Region, has been diagnosed of Hydrosalpinx, a medical condition doctors say will make it impossible for her to conceive and give birth if she does not immediately undergo surgery.
“Noted at the right adnexa is a dilated tortuous fluid filled structure with low level internal echoes measuring about 2.69cm in diameter and resulting in a mass with a volume of 7.3×5.3×5.9cm(122.9cmᵌ)” parts of her medical report reads.

A Hydrosalpinx is a condition that occurs when the Fallopian tube is blocked and fills with serous or clear fluid near the ovary.
It causes constant severe abdominal pains; the kind Selina likens to menstrual cramps. She says the continuous pain makes her feel weak and uneasy and would desperately want to have the surgery done to get relief, but she is unable to raise the GHȻ4,000 required.
According to Selina’s sister, Agnes Mawusi Jamboe, she has already missed her first appointment with doctors because she was not able to raise the money.
She tells 3news.com that Selina has been rescheduled for Friday, September 11 when she hopes benevolent individuals and institutions will come to her aid to help her undergo the surgery.
