Renowned politician and commentator Hon. Kojo Yankah has publicly praised Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson for his delivery of the 2026 budget statement, describing it as “humble, confident, inspiring, and assuring.”
In a statement shared on his social media, Yankah emphasized that while ministers do not work alone, the commendation is specifically warranted for Forson’s performance. “One does not need a debate to state that watching him read the Government budget statement, and I have seen dozens since Independence, he delivered with remarkable poise and clarity,” he said.
Hon. Yankah highlighted that Forson’s presentation went beyond figures and statistics. “Not only the numbers, but the facts, statistics, and his body language gave a lot of credence to Government’s performance over the past 10 months,” he added.
Yankah stressed the importance of giving praise where it is due, noting that such acknowledgment strengthens public confidence in governance.
Observers say the Finance Minister’s articulate delivery, coupled with his composed demeanor, left a positive impression on both Parliament and the public, reinforcing the government’s commitment to transparency and accountability in its fiscal management.
