The Interior Ministry has declared Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, a statutory public holiday in observance of Farmers Day.
In a statement issued Friday in Accra, the ministry said the day will be marked nationwide to honor the contributions of Ghanaian farmers and fisherfolk to national development.
The public is expected to observe the holiday in accordance with established protocols.
Farmers Day, celebrated annually on the first Friday of December, recognizes the vital role agriculture plays in the country’s economy.
The ministry extended well-wishes to all farmers and urged the public to support activities commemorating the occasion.
