The former Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho is seeking help from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Ghana Police Service to track persons behind a fake Facebook account in his name.
He told the Cyber Crime Unit of the police CID that the fake account is causing him “huge problems”.
This is the second time the NDC firebrand is reporting the nefarious activities to the police CID. The first report was made about four years ago.
In his statement to the police on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, Koku Anyidoho said the facebook account keeps posting statement he “knows nothing about”.
“I trust that the appropriate steps shall be taken to fish out the person/s behind this criminal act,” he wrote in his statement to the “respected police service”.
Mr. Anyidoho later turned to social media platform, Twitter, to communicate the steps he has taken to clear his name and prayed, “I trust that God shall be my utmost helper in this matter.”
Meanwhile, Mr. Anyidoho has told 3news.com he doesn’t own any Facebook account.
