The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has condemned the despicable comments against former Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, by Member of Parliament for Asante Akim South, Kweku Asante-Boateng.
The MP, in a shocking interview with Adom TV, launched unprovoked scathing attacks on the person of Dr. Bawumia, describing him as an outsider and a slave who was brought in to serve the NPP and is not fit to lead the NPP.
His outrageous comment has attracted wide condemnation, with many describing it as tribalistic and divisive.
The National Secretariat of the NPP has now added its voice with a statement distancing the party from the distasteful comment, condemning the MP and reiterating the NPP’s commitment to insclusivity.
