NPP MP Dodges Drug Trafficking Allegation

Rev. John Ntim Fordjor, NPP Member of Parliament for Assin South, appeared to sprint away from his previous explosive allegations of suspicious activities at Kotoka International Airport. The MP had boldly declared that two aircrafts made mysterious pit stops in Ghana under shady circumstances.

One plane, Air MED flight K823 AM, allegedly landed in the country on March 20 but stayed for five days without any record of carrying a patient. The other aircraft, a private jet named Antonow 12B, touched down on March 12 and jetted off the same day the first departed, heading to Gran Canaria, Spain on March 25.

Rev. Fordjor, seemingly vying as the NPP’s answer to Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, made audacious claims that drug trafficking was surreptitiously increasing under the new government.

President John Dramani Mahama, responding sharply to the MP’s assertions, directed security agencies to launch a comprehensive probe. The President prompted collaboration with Rev. Fordjor to expose any drug-related activities.

However, instead of heeding the President’s directive, the MP threw a curveball, calling for a meeting between the Defence and Interior Committee and various security agencies to discuss “critical national security matters.”

Now, doubts are surfacing about the credibility of Rev. Fordjor’s initial claims. Was he genuinely informed, or was he simply sowing seeds of fear and chaos?

After dodging multiple media attempts to reach him for clarification, Rev. Fordjor surfaced with a formal letter requesting a sit-down on April 7, 2025, to delve into the alleged security incidents and provide updates on ongoing investigations.

Will this meeting shed light on the enigmatic aircraft activities, or will it raise more questions than answers? Stay tuned for the latest twists and turns in this unfolding saga.
