Many patrons converged at Alliance Francaise on Saturday for the 2nd edition of MMC Live. The night of music, magic and comedy featured rapper and Highgrade Family act Martin Kofi King Arthur popularly known as Kofi Kinaata.
Kofi Kinaata performed most of his hit songs including Susuka, Time no dey, Sweetie pie and every body’s favorite Confession.
After his performance GhanaWeb spoke to him about his hit song ‘Confession’. It will be recalled that Kofi Kinaata granted an interview where he said people were taking advantage of his song and were using it to get drunk.
He was questioned on whether he had any regrets after releasing the song after the mass misrepresentations.
According to Kinaata, initially it bothered him but he realised there was nothing he could do about it other than to let it go.
He said people will drink with or without his song, but right thinking Ghanaians have seen the good he intended with the song and have received it as such.
He also dispelled rumours circulating that there is a beef between himself and Donzy. He said he listened to Donzy’s ‘Boa Me’ before it was released and the song had nothing to do with him. According to Kinaata, he and Donzy are really close and he does not know where the rumours are emanating from.
The ‘Susuka’ hitmaker indicated that he is looking forward to working with veteran highlife musicians especially those from the south such as Gyedu Blay- Ambolley, Paapa Yankson and C.K Mann.
