The Savannah Regional Police Command of the Ghana Police Service has arrested 27 suspects following a special Christmas Day operation.
The operation was carried out in the regional capital, Damongo, Buipe and Bole.
A number of items including live ammunitions was found on some of the suspects.
Among the arrested were women, some of who had in possession dried leaves suspected to be Indian Hemp.
They will be kept in police custody to be later arraigned before court.
