The Accra Regional Police Command has apprehended Suleiman Danjumah, also known as Solomon Addai and Innocent, in connection with the unlawful possession of a firearm, narcotics, and stolen items. The suspect was arrested on December 10, 2025, following intelligence-led operations by the Police Intelligence Directorate (PID) and the Accra Regional Command.
Danjumah, previously granted bail by the Adabraka Court on November 25, 2025, for an earlier offence involving a Smith & Wesson pistol and 30 rounds of 9mm ammunition, was found in possession of another unregistered 9mm Parabellum Arcus 94 pistol. Police also recovered military uniforms and caps, a stolen Police Huawei handset, four mobile phones, a shocker, a jack knife, 34 blisters of Tramadol 225mg, and an unregistered jungle motorbike.
Investigations revealed that Danjumah admitted to dealing narcotics around Las Vegas, Achimota, and reportedly fired warning shots during a confrontation with another dealer, Mutala Mohammed. Mohammed was subsequently arrested, with authorities seizing two parcels of suspected Indian hemp and 19 blisters of Tramadol 120 (“Red”) from his residence. Danjumah identified one Usman Ali as the source of the firearm, and further investigations are ongoing.
Police confirmed that the recovered Huawei handset belonged to a police officer and had been reported stolen. All narcotics have been secured as exhibits and are scheduled for analysis at the Police Forensic Science Laboratory.
Both suspects remain in police custody, assisting with investigations, while authorities continue efforts to locate Usman Ali.
The Accra Regional Police Command urged members of the public to provide credible information to support crime prevention and reaffirmed its commitment to clamping down on the circulation of illegal firearms and narcotic drugs within the region.
