The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into a viral video in which a man is seen administering a substance suspected to be cigarette to a child.
The man appears to be making fun of the situation as he laughs in the act.
“Every effort is being made to identify and arrest the suspect involved,” the police said, “and to ensure that the child is safe and protected.”
This was contained in a statement issued on Friday, November 21.
The statement urged members of the public who have information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the man or child to report to the nearest police station.
