Newly appointed Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has officially signed his contract at the club’s Cobham training base, marking the formal start of his tenure at Stamford Bridge.
The 41-year-old arrives from Ligue 1 side RC Strasbourg and has agreed a long-term deal with the Blues running until 2032. Rosenior said the opportunity to lead Chelsea “means the world” to him, pledging full commitment to restoring success at the club.
“I believe deeply in teamwork, unity and working for one another,” Rosenior said. “Those values will be at the heart of everything we do and will be the foundation of our success.”
He added that he was eager to work with Chelsea’s “extremely talented group of players and staff”, stressing the importance of strong connections on and off the pitch and creating a united, driven environment.
“There is a real hunger to win, and I will give everything, every single day, to help this team compete at the very highest level,” Rosenior said.
After putting pen to paper, Rosenior began settling into his new surroundings but will not take charge from the touchline for Chelsea’s next match. Under-21s coach Calum McFarlane will oversee the fixture at Craven Cottage.
McFarlane said Rosenior was “really excited” about the role and expressed confidence in delivering a positive result to build momentum for the new era.
