Rapper Sarkodie was the biggest winner at the 2020 edition of the 3Music Awards.

The rapper swept awards that saw the organisers make history by holding the event virtually from the Fantasy Dome of the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.

Organisers were forced to hold the event virtually Saturday night due to the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

Sarkodie bagged the ‘Music Man of the Year’, ‘Hip-hop/Hiplife Act of the Year’, ‘Fan Army of the Year’, ‘Best Rap Performance’, and ‘Best Collaboration of the Year’ awards.

Even though it was Sarkodie’s night, Kofi Kinaata walked him with the biggest award for the night – ‘Song of the Year’ for his smash hit ‘Things Fall Apart’.

He also won the ‘Highlife Song of the Year’ with the same song.

Meanwhile, Shatta Wale, who bagged eight awards at last year’s edition, picked up only one award – ‘Digital Act of the Year’ – this year while Stonebwoy also bagged the ‘Reggae/Dancehall Act of the Year’ award.

This year’s event also witnessed performances from KiDi, Cina Soul, Daughter of Glorious Jesus, Bosom P-Yung, Mr Drew, Krymi, and others.
