Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy’s striking outfit and dramatic entrance at BhimFest25 have sparked widespread discussion, with cultural commentator Odehe Bi offering an interpretation of the symbolism and spirituality behind the performance.
According to Odehe Bi, Stonebwoy appeared dressed in white with a crown, styled around imagery associated with Baphomet, also known as the Sabbatic Goat. He explained that the symbolism was not sinister but metaphorical, representing the coexistence of good and evil and the triumph of good over adversity. In his reading, the imagery conveyed mastery, supremacy and balance, suggesting Stonebwoy’s confidence and command within his musical lane.

The use of white, Odehe Bi noted, carries strong cultural meaning, symbolising purity, victory and triumph, and signalling success despite challenges faced. He added that the crown reinforced themes of authority and excellence.
Stonebwoy was also seen wearing the Ankh, an ancient Egyptian symbol. Odehe Bi interpreted this as representing life, eternity, spiritual power and African identity, linking the artiste to ancestral wisdom and higher consciousness.
He argued that Stonebwoy’s fashion choices are deliberate and layered with meaning, reflecting intellectual depth and spiritual awareness rather than spectacle alone. The grand entrance, he said, was a statement of artistic identity and intent.
Stonebwoy has not publicly commented on the interpretation, but the performance has fuelled conversation about symbolism, culture and self-expression in contemporary Ghanaian music, underlining BhimFest’s role as more than just a concert, but a platform for artistic storytelling.
