The Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, has called on Emirates Airlines to actively promote Ghana’s cultural heritage and natural attractions onboard its flights to help drive international tourist arrivals.
The appeal was made during a courtesy visit by the newly appointed Country Manager of Emirates Airlines, Salem Almana, as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration between the airline and the Ministry. Hon. Gomashie praised Emirates for its professionalism and extensive global network, describing the airline as a strategic partner in advancing Ghana’s tourism and creative arts agenda.

She said showcasing Ghana through in-flight content, destination features and curated travel experiences could significantly enhance the country’s visibility among international travellers. The minister noted that aviation partnerships remain critical to positioning Ghana as a preferred destination for heritage, culture and leisure tourism.
Mr Almana reaffirmed Emirates’ commitment to working closely with the Ministry to promote Ghana to global markets and enhance passenger experiences. He expressed optimism about expanding areas of cooperation that would benefit both the airline and Ghana’s tourism sector.
Both parties agreed that deeper collaboration would strengthen Ghana’s tourism profile and support broader efforts to attract visitors year-round.
