Aviation and quarantine authorities are reminding travelers to comply with inspection and permit requirements for transporting foodstuffs through Kotoka International Airport. (KIA)
Passengers departing Ghana with food items must visit the Plant Quarantine Desk at the Departure Hall either on the day of travel or several days prior to obtain a mandatory Phytosanitary Certificate.
Arriving passengers carrying foodstuffs must also secure all required permits before entering the country. Officials said all food items and permits will be inspected by Plant Quarantine officers at KIA at an applicable fee.
